About

As an artist in the entertainment industry, Frank has worked in many creative capacities during his remarkable 35-year career. Prop building and set construction preceded his art directing on a puppet tv series in Miami. From there he moved to Los Angeles (where he still resides) and jumped into fabricating puppets and creatures at the Jim Henson Creature Shop.

After working on several films there, a tv series, and a music video for David Bowie, he moved over to work with the Chiodo Brothers. There he helped create walk-around dinosaurs for Universal Studios in Japan, he was shop coordinator and principal puppeteer on “Team America: World Police” and most recently helped bring “Marcel the Shell with shoes on” to life for A24.

His other movie performance credits include working with Sam Raimi on the Doc Ock Tentacles for “Spider Man 2”, suit performing the title character in Kyle Mooney’s “Brigsby Bear” and he was lead puppeteer on “Bad Milo”, where he got to kill Patrick Warburton in an elevator and bite Peter Stormare’s ass.

He’s also had the extraordinary rock star experience of performing live in front of tens of thousands, having puppeteered on world concert tours with Beck and Chance the Rapper and recently performed as a silverback gorilla on Travis Scott’s Tour.

His other live show credits reveal another of Frank’s talents, this time as costume fabricator, where helped create looks for Katy Perry’s “Prismatic Tour” and her Super-Bowl Halftime Show. He worked on Miley Cyrus’ “Milky Milky Milk Tour” and most recently helped create the iconic wings for Lil Nas X’s “Long Live Montero Tour”.

He’s also done costume fabrication on many feature films including TRON: Legacy, Aquaman, Pacific Rim and the first season of The Mandalorian.

His favorite collaboration of late was being one of the principle mask makers, working with Marina Toybina, on the first 6 seasons of Fox’s “The Masked Singer”. He got to create the Pineapple for Tommy Chong, the Fox for Wayne Brady, the Raccoon for Danny Trejo, the Chameleon for Wiz Khalefa, the Mushroom for Aloe Blacc and many more.

Frank looks forward to continuing on broadening his many skills and his network of collaborators to help create and perform these really cool things we keep coming up with.
